Your manuscript.
KDP-ready. In minutes.
The stories in your head deserve real readers. Upload your draft, pick a trim size, and get a professionally formatted print PDF and EPUB back — without the hassle, the tech headaches, or the wait.
Checked before it reaches you — and covered if KDP still says no.
Every file is validated automatically, every time. Here's exactly what that means, and what happens to your manuscript afterward.
Validated before you ever see it
Every file passes Galleyo's own independent check — margins, bleed, embedded fonts, file structure — automatically, every single time, before it reaches your downloads page.
If KDP still rejects it
If KDP rejects your file for a formatting reason, Galleyo fixes and re-renders it at no charge. (Covers formatting defects — not cover art, metadata, or content KDP objects to.)
Your manuscript, then gone
Your manuscript and files are deleted automatically 30 days after they're generated — never used to train anything, never shown to another customer, never sold.
Formatting, handled — so you don't have to think about it.
No plugins, no style guides to memorize, no fighting Word's paragraph settings. Upload your manuscript and Galleyo takes care of the rest.
Your chapters, found automatically
Galleyo reads your manuscript's headings and structure the moment you upload it — no manual tagging, no style names to get right first.
- Recognizes chapter titles, parts, and front/back matter
- Rebuilds a clean table of contents for print and EPUB
- Works with whatever heading style your draft already uses
- Choose how chapter headings look in the finished book — plain, ornamented, number-only, left-aligned, and more — with a recommended style for your genre already picked
Interiors that read like a real book
Every page is set with proper margins, drop caps, running heads, and embedded fonts — the kind of typographic care that's easy to get wrong by hand.
- Fonts embedded for both print and EPUB
- Correct leading, kerning, and widow/orphan control
- Genre-matched interior styling, not a generic template
Drop-cap chapter openers, justified text, classic serif pairing — the Classic Fiction preset.
Centered chapter titles, block paragraph spacing, no indents — the Non-Fiction / Business preset.
Ornamental chapter dividers, tighter leading for genre pacing — the Sci-Fi / Fantasy preset.
A warmer, more elegant serif with a raised first-letter chapter opener — the Romance preset.
A heavier, more dramatic serif with an ornamental chapter divider — the Gothic / Horror preset.
A warm, highly readable serif with extra breathing room between lines — the YA / Fantasy (Lite) preset.
A clean, modern serif with plain centered chapter titles and tighter line spacing — built for pace, not ornamentation.
Checked against Amazon's own spec, not just ours
Every file is validated the same way Amazon's pipeline checks it — trim size, bleed, margins, and EPUB3 structure — before you ever see a download link.
- Trim size, bleed, and gutter calculated for your page count
- EPUB3 structure checked with epubcheck, the same tool KDP uses
- A real preview before you pay, so there are no surprises

| Option | Price | Turnaround | Billing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Galleyo | $19.99 / book | Minutes | One-time, per book |
| Vellum (Mac only) | $199.99–$249.99 | Do-it-yourself | One-time software purchase |

Built by an author who believed formatting shouldn't come with a markup — priced the way it always should have been.
I'm Wesley Sloan — husband, father, veteran, and heavy equipment operator, and the solo founder behind Galleyo. I'm not a novelist myself — yet, anyway; that's still on the list — my own KDP catalog so far is word search books and riddle books for kids, which means I've actually been through Amazon's formatting rules and rejections firsthand, not just read about them secondhand.
Galleyo started because the prices I saw from formatting services and software felt genuinely outrageous for what you actually get — hundreds of dollars, sometimes a recurring fee, for something that should just work automatically. So over a few months, on and off, I built Galleyo into what you see today: upload your manuscript, pick your options, get KDP-ready print and EPUB files back in minutes, for one flat $14.99–19.99 fee. No subscription, no software to learn, and no good reason it should cost what it costs everywhere else.
Before you upload
The things first-time authors usually ask before trying a new formatting tool.
Do I still upload to KDP myself?
Yes. Amazon doesn't offer a public upload API, so no tool — including this one — can publish directly to your KDP dashboard. Galleyo hands you a validated, ready-to-go print PDF and EPUB; you drag them into KDP yourself, which usually takes a few minutes.
What file format do you accept?
A .docx manuscript. Upload your raw Word file — no need to pre-format headings, margins, or anything else.
Can I see my book before I pay?
Yes. You'll get a real, fully-formatted preview of your first chapter before checkout, so you know exactly what you're paying for.
How long do you keep my files?
Your manuscript and finished files are kept for 30 days after your book is generated, with a visible countdown on your download page, then automatically deleted. Download your own copy before it expires.
What trim sizes and styles are supported?
Six trim sizes — 5×8, 5.5×8.5, 6×9 (the most common), 7×10, 8×10, and 8.5×11 — plus seven genre-matched style presets: Classic Fiction, Non-Fiction & Business, Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Romance, Gothic & Horror, YA & Fantasy, and Mystery & Thriller, each with its own font pairing, chapter-opener options, and a chapter heading layout you control — plain, ornamented, number-only, left-aligned, and more, with chapter numbers shown as numerals, spelled-out words, or roman numerals. Every genre comes with a recommended combination pre-selected, but you're always free to pick your own.
Is my manuscript kept private?
Your manuscript is used only to generate your files and is automatically deleted after the 30-day retention window — it's never shared, published, or used for anything else.
What if KDP still rejects the file?
Every file passes Galleyo's own independent validation — margins, bleed, embedded fonts, and file structure — before it ever reaches your downloads page. If KDP still rejects it for a formatting reason, Galleyo fixes and re-renders it at no charge. (Covers formatting defects — not cover art, metadata, or content KDP objects to. Full details in our Terms of Service.)
Can I reformat the same book later?
If you find a mistake in your manuscript's content after your files are generated, Galleyo offers a discounted re-render — $5 per re-render, up to 2 per book, within 30 days of your original order. Just email hello.galleyo@gmail.com. Changing your trim size or style preset, or anything unrelated to fixing your manuscript's content, is treated as a new order at full price rather than a discounted revision.
Do you support images, tables, or footnotes?
Images and tables inside your manuscript are both supported and carried through to your finished files. Footnotes and endnotes aren't yet carried into the formatted output — if your manuscript relies on them, email hello.galleyo@gmail.com before you upload so we can let you know what to expect.
